For the past 3 years, I have been organising the Kickass Workshop for wedding videographers who want to offer a different kind of work, one that breaks the rules and codes of wedding videos, while developing their business in a sustainable and efficient way.
Our aim is to help raise the level of this profession to the highest level, in a fun and rock'n roll spirit! Kickass is the only French course where you can meet and learn from the best wedding videographers in the country and abroad. The Kickass has become a must in the world of French videographers! This third edition was extraordinary with 25 trainees and a staff of about 25 people too! |
The first edition took place in October 2020, in the south of France with 21 participants, 5 speakers among the best French videographers: Meryll de Gordon, Julien Zolli, Matt Moal Raynaud, Stéphane Defer and myself.
The second edition of the workshop took place in November, in the Dordogne, in the south of France but on the other side. 20 participants, 2 couples of speakers Pierre & Julie , Claire & Stéphane, our great reference Pascal Délé, the famous Kostas Petsas of cinema of poetry and myself. In addition to this great team, we added 3 experts in communication and marketing with experts in social networks, SEO and sound. The last year we were lucky enough to have storytelling master Meryl de Gordon, the fantastic The Richters, François Lamoureux a French influencer and myself in the Master Class. We also set up workshops with quality speakers such as Pierre & Julie and Stephane Defer for the technical part, Marie Astrid and the art direction agency Effet Dopamine for the business part and Ludo Hautevelle for the sound part. |
It is therefore with great pleasure that I invite you to be a Masterclass speaker for the fourth edition of the Kickass Workshop.
I would be really honoured to share this fourth experience with you, your team is among the most inspiring wedding videographers in the world and it would be a real chance to have you with us. Your originality and creativity is so amazing!
I want to show the French videography community that there are a thousand ways to express yourself through wedding films, from one extreme to the other.
I would be delighted if you could lead a 3 hour masterclass around your universe, sharing your vision, something very "inspiring" that makes the trainees want to surpass themselves in terms of creativity and business.
We will have several people on site who can do the translation.
There will also be other small things to do that do not require any preparation, such as supervising a small group during the shooting and analysing the trainees' films. I will give you the details later.

1/ The Dates :
From Tuesday 14 November 2023 at around 2pm to Sunday morning 19 November 2022 at around 10am. Your conference would be on Thursday morning. I will give you the full programme very soon. Ideally, it would be great if you could be with us for the whole stay. But I understand if you have a busy life or a complicated work schedule. You should at least be here from Wednesday evening to Saturday morning. We can discuss all this, nothing is set in stone. |

2/ The place :
Le Clos des Charmes is "the place to be", such a jewel of calm and good vibes. It is the perfect venue, very functional, able to accommodate everyone: speakers, participants and staff. It is already booked and we can't wait to come back to this amazing place! A big house with rooms on the first and second floor, a real big kitchen for our team of Chefs and nice big rooms for meals and conferences and a game room with a pub atmosphere to have fun. 3/ The Team:
I am co-organising this event with Marie-Astrid Agasse (AMA Conseils): she will take care of all the administrative aspects for the participants and speakers, as well as the financial part. We will also be supported by the event organiser Gwen Ribambelle who will take care of all the logistics and the girls from Effet Dopamine agency will organise the scenography of the shoot. They all speak English! I'm the only one who doesn't speak English in the team! |

5/ The "Kickass Spirit" :
Kickass is also a source of conviviality and shared moments: we eat and drink well, we party almost every night! On the evening of the shoot, we end with an even more festive evening! The fourth edition will be even crazier! |

7/ Remuneration :
Regarding compensation, we provide our speakers with accommodation, food and drink for the duration of the workshop.
This year, the compensation for our international speakers is 2500€, which includes transportation from your home to the Kickass venue (if there are additional taxi costs, we will cover them).
Gwenn will of course be on hand to help with ticket booking if you need it.
You can come with two people if you wish.

to conclude :
I strongly believe that training needs to be developed in our profession to make it even more professional and qualitative, so you will have the freedom to promote your own workshops, coaching services and other training that you can offer to others.
I am well aware that the Kickass Workshop will not make you rich even if, overall, we are within the rates charged in France for this kind of event .... But above all, the Kickass is about participating in the growth of the wedding videographer community, increasing your network, meeting new people, sharing great moments, passing on information, learning from each other, and above all, having a good time for 5 days.
If possible, I would like to hear from you within 10 days. This will help us to finalise the schedule, to find new international speakers in case of refusal. It will be a real honour for us to be able to count on you.
